Babylonian Civilization
If a man murdered a woman, instead of him being punished, his wife
was put to death.

Greek Civilization
The Greeks considered women to be subhuman and inferior to men, & in Greek mythology, an ‘imaginary woman’ called ‘Pandora’ is the root cause of misfortune of human beings.

Roman Civilization
A Roman wife was described by an historian as: “a babe, a minor, a ward, a person incapable of doing or acting anything according to her own individual taste, a person continually under the tutelage and guardianship of her husband.”

Egyptian Civilization
The Egyptian considered women evil and as a sign of a devil

Islamic Civilization
“And among His signs is this: That He created mates for you from yourselves that you may find rest, peace of mind in them, and He ordained between you love and mercy. Lo, herein indeed are signs for people who reflect.” (Quran 30:21)
